Additional Property Attributes

The Marion Central Corridor Master Plan identifies the site within Phase 2 of its redevelopment efforts. This phase focuses on defining downtown Marion through the construction of a new intersection and a roundabout. Specifically, the plan identifies the site for future "urban residential units." Mixed use with commercial businesses on the main floor and residential units on upper floors are anticipated.

Former Use: Property included residential development from 1905 to 1967 and commercial development from 1972 to the present. Commercial development included a furniture store from 1972-1977 a construction and development company in 1982 a consultant, dishwasher repair business, carpet cleaning business, lawn care provider, insurance company and a publishing company in 1987 a consultant, dishwasher repair business, industrial equipment distributer, computer repair business and two other commercial businesses in 1992 a consultant, dishwasher repair business, industrial equipment distributer and two other commercial businesses in 1997 an accounting office, tax return office and three insurance agencies in 2002 a tax return office, an insurance agency, an advertising company and a plumbing contractor in 2007. The property currently contains a two-story commercial structure.
