Additional Property Attributes

The project was able to assist the local municipality, Cass City, purchase the property strategically located near downtown Cass City. The assessment was able to investigate several previously unknown environmental conditions at the site. In addition the property will be redeveloped by Cass City for commercial/office use and for downtown public parking spaces.

Former Use: The subject property was utilized as a foundry from at least the mid 1890s until the 1900s. During this time the subject property contained a foundry building with associated out buildings. From the 1900s through the 1950s the subject property contained on large L-shaped building with associated outbuildings. The subject property during this time was utilized for storage, private use, contracting, and/or a brick factory. From the 1950s through the completion of the Phase I ESA by AKT Peerless dated January 19, 2009 the subject property was utilized for storage warehouse, repairs and/or offices.
