Additional Property Attributes

In March 2008, LiRo Engineers, Inc. (LiRo)conducted a passive soil gas (PSG) survey in the area on behalf of the City of New York Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). The PSG results from these locations showed tetrachloroethene (PCE) in exceedance of 500 nanograms, which suggests potential chlorinated solvent contamination. Chlorinated solvents were possibly produced on-site and likely used for degreasing operations.

Former Use: Former chemical company and manufacturing uses, Coffiet Chemical Co. Inc. and Elad Mfr., (source City Directory circa 1960-1970). Current is a furniture store (Dream works) and Gym (United Trainers & Boxers of NY).
