Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The southeastern portion of the subject property consisted of the Douglass� Broom Factory along McDougall Avenue in 1884. In 1897, the factory had been razed and the subject property was unimproved. The southern portion of the subject building was constructed in 1905. The remaining portions of the subject building were constructed in 1910, except for the storefronts in the northwestern portion of the building (2970-2990 East Jefferson Avenue), which was constructed in 1925. The subject property was occupied by various manufacturing companies from its construction in 1905 until the early 1970s. In addition, a printing company and book bindery occupied the first floor and basement of the subject property from the mid-1930s until the mid-1970s. An automobile sales and service company also occupied the northwestern portion of subject property (2970 East Jefferson Avenue) from the mid-1920s until the late 1940s. Multiple commercial store fronts, including a drug store, restaurants, nightclubs, and hair salons have also occupied the subject building since the late 1930s.
