Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Glatfelter Mill Redevelopment Project- Gateway East Site has historic uses of papermaking, wastewater treatment, and railroad operations that extended over 130 years. The majority of the land was formerly a paper mill owned by the P.H. Glatfelter Company. The papermaking operation closed in 2006, eliminating 220 jobs and creating blight in a very strategic downtown business location. The CDA acquired the 7-acre paper mill complex, consisting of 26 buildings, in May of 2008.
