Additional Property Attributes

This grant facilitated the cleanup and conversion of a vacant brownfield site into a new single-family home, improving the overall aesthetic of the neighborhood, and putting the site back to beneficial use and adding to the community's overall tax base. As part of this process, 12 at-risk youths were employed by the Milwaukee Christian Center through their YouthBuild program, providing them valuable job skills.

Former Use: This site was formerly occupied by commercial uses including auto repair/service, grinding and finishing company, printing shop, sheet metal fabricator and a factory. The property was acquired through tax foreclosure.
