Additional Property Attributes

The project site is made up of a number of properties 1105-1115 Light Street, 1117 Light Street, 1108 and 1110 William Street, 133-135 East Cross Street, 124 and 126 Weber Street. The project, slated to begin construcion in the summer of 2010 is a 29.5 million mixed-use project, encompassing retail, office and residential tennants. The site has been entered into the MD Voluntary Cleanup Program VCP and the remediation of the site is set to begin in June 2010. Contamination on the site is largely from arsenic in the soil. The primary remediation strategy will be to cap the site. A potential underground storage tank will also be addressed.

Former Use: Site was occupied by 22 rowhouse structures used for residential and/or commercial purposes in 1890. The Site appears to have undergone significant redevelopment sometime between 1914 and 1951. Former uses of the Site parcels included residences, ice cream factory 1115 Light Street, a department store and associated warehouse and parking areas 1105 Light Street, 1108-1110 William Street, 133-135 Cross Street, tax services, a health clinic, a drugstore, and various listings as stores.
