Additional Property Attributes

This phase I was complete to provide necesary background information to DTSC and its environmental consultant to complete a SAP and Phase II for this City/Redevelopment Agency - owned property. Once the Phase II is complete, the City will develop and implement a clean-up plan for the suspected contamination, allowing an adaptive re-use redevelopment project to move forward at the property. The City has an exclusive negotations agreement with a developer interested in purusing a retail and/or mixed-use project at the property re-utilizing the Firehouse structure. Former Use: The property is a former fire station and police station that served the town of Washington dating back to the 1940s. A UST was removed from the property in 1987, although there is no evidence of a confirmed leak from the tank. The property, owned by the City, is adjacent to a former plating shop that has been identified as a seriously contaminated property.
