Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Since 1868 the Danielson Cotton Mill was established on this site. In 1925 Powdrell and Alexander took over the building and used it for bleaching and weaving. Textile production ended in 1963 when the Danielson Finishing Company closed. The site is currently vacant when the building was closed by the Building Official and Fire Marshall of the Town of Killingly in 2009 due to code violations. The site includes a multi-story brick mill building and associated current and former storage buildings. The eastern portion of the site property contains a canal, associated water control gates and a reach of the Five Mile River.
