Addl Cleanup/Treatment info: Terracon Consultants, Inc. (Terracon) conducted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Closure Services at the referenced property. Services included the removal of two 15,000-gallon heating oil and three 10,000-gallon heating oil underground storage tanks (USTs). Over-excavation of impacted soil was also performed. Regenesis Remediation Services (RRS) performed a 3D Microemulsion75 and BDI Plus application under the direction of Terracon at the Belknap Crossing Site in Louisville, Kentucky to remediate the chlorinated solvent plumes. This single injection event was completed between March 14th and March 23rd, 2012. The application of the 3D Microemulsion and BDI Plus focused on two (2) primary treatment areas. The areas are identified as MW-7 Treatment Area and MW-9 Treatment Area. The two plumes cover a total surficial treatment area of approximately 58,000 square feet (ft2). A total of approximately 31,381 gallons of 3D Microemulsion solution (i.e., as applied with water) was injected via direct push technology (DPT) within the targeted treatment intervals during the course of the project. In addition, approximately twenty-two (22) liters of BDI Plus (ultra-concentrate) was applied with the 3D Microemulsion. Asbestos abatement also took place at the property.
