Additional Property Attributes

The property has been redeveloped with 24 affordable single family residences. The propject involved participation from the Michigan Department Environmental Quality and the Michigan State Housing adn Development Authority

Former Use: This property was developed for residential purposes since the early 1900s. In the 196os-70s, these residences were demolished. Following the demolition the basement and crawl space voids were backfilled with used metal casting form sands (foundry fill). Environmental investigations confirmed this sand imported to the property contained various metals and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) contaminants.
