Asbestos identified during inspection. Abatement required if demolished or renovated.

Former Use: The Property is currently occupied with two buildings, the former Clay County jail and a brown shed. The former jail has one floor that consists of a garage, offices, a kitchen, cell blocks, restrooms, and hallways. The garage is attached on the north side of the former jail and consists of a storage area that holds lawn mowers, gas cans, 5 gallon buckets and paints. The brown shed is located on the southwest corner of the Property and is used for the storage of record books. A fenced in former paved fitness area is located at the south east side of the former jail. Cars and other miscellaneous debris are being stored in the former paved fitness area. Observations were made through a gap in the gate. Exterior areas of the Property include grass, concrete, and asphalt pavement. The Property has been used as county jail since circa 1896. The current owner is The Board of Commissioners of Clay County, who have owned the Property since 1878.
