Additional Property Attributes

This parcel is part of the larger historic former VT Marble facility and houses the .25 acre-long main building. Past uses on the site include a marble processing facility operated from 1880 until 1978. From 1978 to 2007, OMYA used the facility mostly for storage for their nearby limestone operations in Florence. Since 2007, the current owners have not used the building and property for more than storage purposes. The Town of Proctor wishes to purchase the property to expand proposed recreational facilities on an adjacent town-owned property. Part of the property could be sold to the Rutland Economic Development Corporation. An Area-Wide plan will be conducted for the Proctor Village Center encompassing the site.
