Additional Property Attributes

Phase II is complete. Brownfield Agreement is pending. Once available information will be updated to show controls, etc. In Fall 2010, DENR reviewed the original results and requested air quality testing inside the building. Cleveland County and the City of Kings Mountain agreed to split the costs. This work has been completed and DENR is reviewing the results.

Former Use: Property was owned and operated by Spectrum Dyed Yarns until they d bankruptcy in 2008. Currently owned by the bank, who foreclosed. There is a prospective purchaser who is interested in re-opening the facility and creating up to 50 new jobs provided a Brownfield Agreement is secured.
