Fred Dill's property is located north of the intersection of Buena Road and Highland Drive. It is unknown when the gas station operated. the underground storage tanks were removed in 2004, and limited excavation of petroleum contaminated soil occurred. Petroleum contaminated soil and ground water remains. The water table in the area is relatively highbetween three and six feet, and the majority of the community relies on shallow water wells and septic systems. the majority of the population is made up primarily of low-income Hispanic individuals.

Former Use: Fred Dill's property is located north of the intersection of Buena Road and Highland Drive.It is unknown when the gas station operated on the property. four underground storage tanks were removed in 2004, and contaminated soil and groundwater were encountered. Contaminated soil removed during UST removal was placed back into the excavation pit. In 1996, the Department of Ecology installed 12 ground water monitoring wells around Buena. One monitoring well was installed on the southwest portion of the site. Laboratory results show that it is contaminated with gasoline-range hydrocarbons above Model Toxics Control Act MTCA groundwater cleanup standards.
