Former Use: The Goodyear Seiberling Street Landfill is a closed industrial solid waste disposal facility which commenced operations in the 1920s. It is located along the east side of Seiberling Street between the Little Cuyahoga/Twain Avenue, south of Shakespeare Avenue in the City of Akron, Summit County. The landfill was last operated by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Company. The landfill was closed in 1989 and is currently capped and inactive. The Phase II was conducted in preparation for IRG, Inc to redevelop the property for retail uses as part of the Goodyear World Headquarters Project.
