Additional Property Attributes

The Red Clay Creek Park property will be part of the Red Clay Trail, which will lead up to the proposed development of the historic Kennett Square Freight Station into a museum. The history museum will include permanent features of the Underground Railroad, a mushroom museum, and railroad history and operations. The rail line is being revitalized by its new owners, East Penn Railways. All aspects of the project, including the hiking trail, wetlands, museum, and rail line, will make Kennett Square a tourist destination, creating jobs, interest, and further redevelopment. (PPF attached to QR 1, 10/1/05-12/31/05)

Former Use: Owned by Jacob Noznesky for many years and used unofficially for disposal of various industrial products. The property shares a boundary with the railroad, and items from the railroad were stored and/or disposed of on and adjacent to property.
