Additional Property Attributes

The adjacent landowner J.C Watson is an onion packing and shipping company. It has been in business in the town of Parma (pop. 1,923) since 1912. J.C. Watson purchased the property from Canyon County at auction. The property will be used to stage long-haul trucks waiting to be loaded with onions to ship to the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Agrentina, and Japan. The property had been under county ownership when it repossessed the property due to unpaid taxes June 29, 2009. The property is now back in private ownership and back on the tax rolls for Canyon County.

Former Use: Operated as a bulk fueling facility. Stopped paying property taxes and Canyon County foreclosed on the property and took it back on tax foreclosure. No assessment activity to date has been done. 2017 Update: Property was assessed through the Idaho Brownfields program and cleaned up through the Idaho VCP. A Certificate of Completion and Covenant Not Sue has been issued. Property is now under the ownership of J.C. Watson who purchased the property at auction from Canyon County in November, 2016.
