Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Kiddie Kar property is located at 512 N. Broadway Avenue in Aurora, Illinois. The property is approximately 2.47 acres in size. The surface of the site is covered by combination of concrete and gravel. The site is bordered on the west by a small tract of land approximately 50-feet wide and the Fox River. Two underground storage tanks USTs approximately 4,500 � 6,000 gallons in size are located on the property. south of the building beneath the concrete parking lot. In approximately 1967, Kiddie Kar Auto Parts began operation at the property as an automotive junk yard and retail outlet. Dilapidated automobiles, crushed autos, and as many as 20,000 tires were deposited on the property. In 2007, Illinois EPA hired a contractor to remove the waste tires from the facility and dispose the material off-site.
