Additional Property Attributes

Acquisition of the last Phase of the Welsh Mountain Nature Preserve will result in preservation of one of the few remaining contiguous parcels of forested land in Lancaster County, protect interior forest habitat, enhance open space in a developed landscape, and complete a three phase purchase totaling over 873 acres. The Preserve is adjacent to Money Rocks County Park and will result in an 1,100 acre nature preserve providing increased opportunities for open space for passive recreation including hiking, birding, biking, cross country skiing, picnicking, and hunting.

Former Use: This property was owned by the New Holland Boro Authority.
