Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property lies within Section 34, Township 48 North, Range 4 West in the City of Ashland, Ashland County, Wisconsin. The property is located south of the Timeless Timber facility located at 2200 Lake Shore Drive East, east of the intersection of 22nd Avenue East and 6th Street east, and is approximately 0.41 acres in size. It is currently undeveloped and wooded, and is located in a mixed use residential and commercial area located northeast of the downtown area of the City of Ashland. The property has historically been undeveloped. Adjacent properties were originally platted for residential use as early as the late 1800�s. Several roads historically adjacent to the subject property to the west and north that were constructed following the platting of the adjacent parcels for residential use have been removed from the general area. Railroad spur development on adjacent property is present by 1975. It is believed the spur was constructed sometime between 1964 and 1975 to run from the main railroad linelocated to the south directly to the manufacturing facility currently Timeless Timber immediately north of the property. The property was owned by private individuals until 1932, at which time the City of Ashland took ownership.
