Additional Property Attributes

Via a call with the grantee's consultant by EPA Region 5 on 11/27/12,it was disclosed that this is a small strip mall with 4-5 businesses accounting for approximately 25 new jobs.

Former Use: The subject property is occupied by the buildings and asphalt covered parking lot/drives. The remainder of the subject property is green space. Until the mid-1900s, the subject property was vacant land. The 1970 and 1972 aerial photographs depict the subject property as a parking lot with a miniature golf course located along the southern side of the subject property. In 1981, the Michigan Bank Midwest opened a branch office on the north side of the property. In 1984, Michigan Bank Midwest terminated their lease and razed the 1,476 square foot building on site. The current building was constructed on the subject property in 1988 and has been utilized as a motel since that time.
