Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I ESA was conducted to determine if there was possible impact to the property from years as planned and harvested timberland. At the time of the assessment, the County was pursuing redevelopment as a waste water station in support of the anticipated growth associated with the U.S. Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure which was to bring a large number of soldiers and their families to Hoke County. A supplemental assessment Complete Environmental Assessment for the Hoke County Proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System was completed in conjunction with the Phase I ESA. This assessment predicted mimimal impact to the local environment should the treatment facility be constructed and put to use.

Former Use: The 184.6 acre parcel is undeveloped with no buildings or structures on the property and no roads, with the exception of one small dirt road entering the property from Ellis Road. At the time of the Phase I ESA, the property was utilized for timberland. Historical use of the property has always been either undeveloped land, farmland, or most recently timberland.
