Property Highlights

The Property currently consists of an unoccupied 0.282-acre lot. A concrete slab was the remnants of the former 2,134 square foot building, which was demolished in 2007. Grass areas make up areas north, south, and west of the former building. Asphalt pavement is located to the east and sparse areas west of the former building. A private drive overgrown with grass is located at the south Property line connecting North 9th Street and North 7th Street. The Property is currently owned by Pike County. The Property appears to have been occupied by a gasoline station during the 1960s. The Property has been occupied by several businesses since including a pizza restaurant, grocery store, and a clothing store. The Property has been unoccupied since about 1992.

Former Use: The Property address is 714 North 9th Street, Petersburg, Pike County, Indiana. Property is a part of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 1 North, Range 8 West. According to Ms. Patty Britton, the Property is currently zoned as Commercial.Past uses include gas station / convenience store from an unknown date until the 1960s. The site appeared to operate as a pizza restaurant, a grocery store, and commercial retail from 1970 to 1991. From 1992 to 2007, the site appeared to be unoccupied. The 2,134 square foot building was demolished in 2007 due to poor structural integrity.
