Additional Property Attributes

Based on Phase I ESA prepared in April 2011, RECs have been identified associated with the subject site's former land use former gas station and adjacent/nearby properties with documented historic use as auto repair and/or petroleum storage facilities prior to agency regulation. A Phase 2 ESA completed in 2011 included soil and groundwater testing for VOCs, PAHs, metals, petroleum organics and radionuclides in shallow groundwater. Analysis results revealed no soil or groundwater impacts above State cleanup criteria with the exception of one VOC compound in very shallow soils less than one foot in depth which was attributed to the site's urban setting. No additional assessment was recommended for the impacted soil. A geophysical investigation performed as part of the Phase 2 ESA revealed a potential UST near the site's west boundary. Further investigation is warranted, and proper removal is required if the anomoly is, in fact, a UST.

Former Use: During Phase 1 ESA, site was a paved parking lot. Historical use included boarding houses/apartments, city market, and gas station.
