Additional Property Attributes

The site is located on the west side of N. Hwy 169 and southwest of Angola Road in Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas. The site an approximate 30 acre tract of land that has been improved with tilled agricultural land.

Former Use: Based on review of the historical information, the site appears to have been used as agricultural land since the early 1900s. The 1962 and 1979 topographic maps depicted approximately 12 oil wells on the site and south and east-adjoining properties. According to the site owner Mr. Plute, these oil wells and associated piping have been removed. An area with no vegetation was observed in the 1977 through 1996 topographic maps. The owner said this is a result from salt water runoff from the oil wells.
