Additional Property Attributes

May 9, 2016 - The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and NAI Harmon Group announced today that Dana Holding Corporation will open a new high-tech axle manufacturing facility at Overland Industrial Park, making Dana the first tenant on the recently redeveloped site. The addition of this new facility will employ over 300 associates by 2020. Dana plans to lease the existing 100,000 square foot facility on the property, and the Port Authority and NAI Harmon Group will work to expand the building to nearly 300,000 square feet. Dana will be investing approximately $70 million in machinery and equipment in the facility over the next few years. The Port Authority and NAI Harmon Group began construction on the 100,000 square foot class A pre-cast, concrete industrial building in June 2014 and held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the facility last October. The facility was designed to suit warehouse/distribution or light manufacturing/assembly operations. Without the current facility already constructed on the site, Dana would not have selected Overland Industrial Park for its new high-tech axle manufacturing facility.

August 24, 2016 The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and NAI Harmon Group announced today that Detroit Manufacturing Systems (DMS) will construct a 102,000 sq. ft. facility at Overland Industrial Park ($78 million investment), making DMS the second tenant on the recently redeveloped site. DMS manufactures interior parts for the next generation Jeep Wrangler and will employ 140 new workers.

Former Use: Site of the former Toledo Jeep Assembly plant. This property was the location of the oldest, longest operating manufacturing facility before its closure in 2004. The structures have been demolished. The former owner, Chrysler Corp., entered bankruptcy and the property was transfered to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority.
