Additional Property Attributes

A partnership between Mountain Housing Opportunities and Eagle Market Development will result in a mixed use development of a previously underutilized site in downtown Asheville, NC, predominantly African American in makeup. Lead paint & some asbestos was found & is being remediated with the RLF subgrant. Redevelopment is expected to begin in December 2011.

Former Use: An old auto body repair shop was located beneath the 19-23 Eagle Street building, where the garage access doors open to the paved parking area. Building is vacant, lot is being used for vehicle parking. Lead paint & asbestos were found through an inspection done by developer.
