Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on a review of historical Sanborn Maps, city directories, and library research, the site appears to have been developed in the early 1800s as a paper mill. According to the previous property owner, Victor DeStephano, the property was purchased from Federal Paperboard in 1979 when it ceased operations as a paper mill. The southern portion of the property was then used for a beer distributing business the northern portion of the property remained vacant and unused from 1979 to approximately 1996 when, according to EDR database search, INX Ink Company was located on the property at 638 North Third Street. In 1997, the property was sold to the current property owner under the business name RCVV Inc. with the southern buildings leased to various tenants including FedEx, Fastenall, and a steel hauler. The property was listed in historical City Directories as Fort Pitt Distributing Company Inc. in 1986 and La Rue Trucking in 2010. The property is currently vacant.
