Blind Horse Knives has leased a portion of the Standard Carbon property (Wintersville, Ohio), resulting in the creation of nine jobs

Former Use: Based on a review of historical city directories, aerial photographs, library research, and information on the Jefferson County Auditor website, the property may have been developed in the mid 1930s however, exact operations during this time are unknown. The property was used as a manufacturer of carbon brushes in the mid 1940s. The business, known as Standard Carbon, was started in 1929 in Steubenville on North 7th Street and was relocated to the property in Wintersville around the mid 1940s. According to City Directories, the business changed names to American Carbon Industries ACI sometime in the late 1980s. According to the property owner, the property was purchased from American Carbon Industries in 1994 when it ceased operations as a carbon brush manufacturer. The property is currently used as a warehouse.
