Additional Property Attributes

This property was scheduled for a Phase II subsurface investigation with access provided in writing. However, the property owner denied access approximately two weeks prior to beginning the investigation and indicated that this was because she could not find any value to her in performing the investigation. Based upon information collected during the Phase I ESA, it is likely that there is lead in the surficial soils from pealing lead paint and potentially petroleum hydrocarbons in soils from former USTs.

Former Use: This property was developed historically as a granary and feed mill, and formerly owned by Southern States. The property was purchased by Ms. Sally Baker under her business name of WV ReCyclers, LLC. The site is 1.14 acres in size. The building that was present on the site initally was in disrepair and was demolished by Ms. Baker during the assessment process without input and/or oversight by an environmental professionals.
