Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property is currently occupied by two 2 multi-unit residential buildings. The building on the western side of the property, adjacent to South Champlain Street, is a two story historic stone d building. This building appeared to be originally from the stone works that was identified on the property on the Sanborn Maps. This building was reported to be renovated into the current use in the early 1980's. The second building is a multi-story wood multi-unit apartment building located adjacent to Pine Street. This building was reported to be constructed in the early 1980's. The remaining portion of the property consists of a courtyard separating the two buildings, a main surface parking lot to the south access from Pine Street, a small surface parking lot to the north access from South Champlain with three storage sheds. All of the storage sheds are single story, gable roofed structures. Two of them contain maintenance equipment and materials for the subject property including a Bobcat equipped for snow removal, rock salt for snow and ice treatment.

Former Use: The subject property was first developed prior to 1895 as JW Goodell Co Marble Works. At approximately the turn of the century, the use was converted to the Spool and Bobbin Company and remained that until conversion to the current use of residential units in the early 1980's.
