Additional Property Attributes

Lead and asbestos contained in building were not released to the environment.

Former Use: The redevelopment site is occupied by a former school building that was operated by the Affton School District as an elementary school until the mid-1970�s. The building on the site was constructed in 1931 as Heege Elementary School with a second phase added in 1950 and a third in 1960. The building was sold to the Affton Elks Lodge #2635 in 1982 and was then used for office space and social events. Following a current Phase I assessment and subsequent Phase II the property was purchased by Henrotay I, LLC, cleaned up and redeveloped. The site was subsequently transfered to its current ownere that is operating the property as a neighborhood retail center.
