Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property is located at the southwest corner of Lafayette Street and Logan Street, Cloverdale, Putnam County, Indiana. According to information provided by the Putnam County Assessor�s Office, the Property is identified as parcel number 15-06-203-039.000-003. The Property is part of the northwest corner of Section 6, Township 12 North, Range 3 West. Two former tank saddles are located in the grassy area at the Property. According to Ms. Judy Whitaker, Cloverdale Main Street is in the process of having the saddles demolished. The saddles are situated in a north to south direction and are spaced approximately 25 feet apart. Standing water, likely from recent rain events, was noted in areas around the saddles. Sheens or unusual odors were not noted in association with the water. Ms. Whitaker indicated the saddles may have been associated with the former rail operations. ATC noted a former railroad bed located on the southern portion of the Property. Ms. Whitaker indicated that docks were formerly located along the railroad bed and were used for offloading rail cars. The current owner is listed as Cloverdale Main Street, Inc. The Cloverdale Main Street, Inc. obtained the Property from CSX Transportation Inc. in December of 2006. The attached deed references a multiple parcel transaction between the current and former owner. The earliest transfer records provided in the deed indicated the parcels referenced were purchased from individual owners during 1852 and 1854 by the New Albany & Salem Railroad Company. The railroad changed names multiple times between 1859 and 1986 when it became CSX Transportation, Inc.
