Former Use: The Site consists of two parcels totaling 1.9 acres and is located on the near northwest side of Indianapolis at the corner of 16th Street and MLK Drive. Historically, there were two commercial buildings on the Site, the Parker Supply Building and KLH Truck Service which performed truck maintenance and repair. The Site has been a vacant lot since approximately 1998. There are no structures remaining on Site and it is currently vacant and vegetated. The contaminants of concern, including vinyl chloride and trichloroethylene TCE, identified on-Site in soil and groundwater during assessment activities are consistent with the truck maintenance and repair activities historically conducted at the Site. A fuel dispensing island was located to the southwest of the Parker Supply Building. In addition, a possible off-Site source may exist that could be contributing to the widespread groundwater plume.
