U
An unauthorized release with a case closed status exists for the adjacent property to the southeast of the Site at 315 South Santa Fe Avenue. The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health DEH case closure was based on a conclusion that there was not an unacceptable risk to occupants of the subject Site. However, residual groundwater contamination associated with this case remains and likely extends beneath the Site. In addition, previous investigations estimated that between 80 and 100 cubic yards of impacted soil remains beneath the subject Site building.

Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: the Site appears to have been vacant and undeveloped from at least as early as 1928 until sometime between 1946 and 1953, when the present day store building was constructed. The tenant of the building is unknown from the construction date until 1967, when the earliest available building records reported the presence of Riley Copher Auto Parts. The building has been used as an auto parts retail store, bicycle shop, market, and presently a medical supply retail store.
