Additional Property Attributes

E2 conducted subsurface sampling activities in accordance with the SAP dated June 5, 2012. No evidence of subsurface contamination in excess of published standards was detected in soil gas samples from inside the former machine shop area, or from soil samples collected at the former air compressor or suspected incinerator locations. Based upon the Citys proposed purchase and/or future redevelopment of the property, no further investigations appear warranted at this time with respect to REC-1 through REC-3.

Former Use: The Site appears to have been vacant and undeveloped from at least as early as 1928 until sometime between 1946 and 1953, when the present commercial building was constructed. The tenant of the building was reportedly a Safeway grocery store from the construction date until 1970, when the earliest available city directory records reported the presence of Drues Appliance Center. The appliance business remained until sometime between 1985 and 1990. The Site has been occupied by automobile parts and machine shop businesses from that time to the present day.
