Additional Property Attributes

The owner offered the property as a donation to the City who is considering using it for stormwater management as part of the implementation of their green infrastructure plan.

Former Use: The Site is currently an undeveloped, grassed, residential lot surrounded by wood picket fencing. The Site has remained largely unchanged undeveloped since the mid 1970s. Prior to this time, the Site was developed with five row-type dwellings and a mixed-use residential/commercial building situated at the corner of Church and Queen Streets until the mid 1970s. Historic resources indicate that the dwellings were constructed prior to 1875, with at least one dwelling constructed prior to 1864, and that the residential/commercial building was constructed circa the 1880s. Documented commercial occupants of the residential/commercial building included a barber shop and a radio store. The owner is Jacques T. Kwitch. As of this date the property has not been transferred to the City.
