Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on information obtained during the Phase I ESA, the use of the subject property prior to the 1938 could not be determined. Based on a review of the 1938 aerial photograph, Buildings #12 and #13 were present with adjacent areas cleared of vegetation for what appears to be grazing land. During the 1940s several of the cabins and other outbuildings were constructed for the operation of a recreational fishing camp, which operated until the 1960s. During the 1960s the buildings were operated as a summer camp for girls followed by church summer camp. During the operation of the girls camp several additional buildings were constructed. In 1988 the current owners purchased the subject property for the operation of a recreational camp to house snowmobilers, hunters, and friends. In 1994, the current owners constructed Buildings #24 and #25 for the operation of a year-round residential home. Reportedly, the areas cleared as grazing land have been utilized to house various types of livestock from the time of the original development through the mid 2000s, since which time the grazing areas have remained vacant.
