Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on a review of historical information, the Property was used as a lumber mill and furniture manufacturing company from approximately 1889 to 1902. From approximately 1902 to the late 1960s, the Property was used for various manufacturing purposes including the following: saw and planning mill, lumberyard, lumber finishing, kilns, glass beveling, metal stamping, wood working, wood finishing and varnishing painting, machining, shipping, buffing and nickel plating. A railroad spur also operated on the Property from prior to 1892 until at least 1966. In the 1970s, the J.W. Knapp Co. operated on the Property. From the 1980s to present, the building on the Property was occupied by various businesses including Safety Systems, Inc., A&J Transmissions, Inc., a food packaging company, Central States Distribution, Peters Engineering, Sycamore Technical Service, Polychem Chemical Packaging, Professional Medical Express Offices, Prestige Delivery Systems, and the Eyde Company.
