Additional Property Attributes

The property is developed with an approximately 45,800 square feet, one-story former automobile sales and service center building with a second floor over the office area. The remainder of the Property was developed with asphalt-paved drives and parking areas, a gravel parking area, and grass-covered and landscaped areas. The property and building have been vacant and deteriorating since 2002. The new owner is planning to rehabilitate the building for commercial or warehousing use. Final redevelopment/reuse plans are pending.

Former Use: Based on a review of historical information back to 1938, the date of earliest available records, the Property was developed as follows: as of 1938, the Property was used as agricultural cropland. By 1950, the Property was vacant land with disturbed soil on the northern and eastern portions of the Property, with a majority of the Property covered with disturbed soils by 1955. The current building was constructed on the Property in 1965 and was used as an automobile sales and service center from at least 1970 until 2001. The automobile center operated under the names Al Serra Ford and Jack Dykstra Ford, Inc. The property was historically identified by an address of 3500 South Martin Luther King Blvd. The Property and building have been unoccupied since approximately 2002.
