Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Parcel 1 is located at the southwest corner of East Kalamazoo Avenue and Cherry Street. Parcel 2 is located at the southeast corner of East Kalamazoo Avenue and Cherry Street. Parcel 3 is located at the southeast corner of East Lenawee and Cherry Streets. The northeastern portion of Parcel 1 is developed with a 13,210-square foot academic building which was originally constructed in 1930, with additions to the eastern portion of the building in 1966 and to the southern portion of the building in 1987. An 840-square foot vacant office building is present on the southwestern portion of Parcel 1, which is attached to and utilized by the building on the west-central adjoining property. Asphalt paved parking areas are located on the western portion of Parcel 1. The western portion of Parcel 2 is developed with a 9,380-square foot library building which was originally constructed in 1949, with additions to the southern portions of the building in 1960 and 1987. A shed is located east of the library building. Asphalt paved parking areas are located to the north and south of the library building on Parcel 2. A gravel parking lot occupies Parcel 3. The subject property is currently occupied by the Lansing Davenport College Campus, and current operations are consistent with typical classroom and administrative activities.
