Additional Property Attributes

The site is in close proximity to the East Busway, a bus only corridor running to downtown Pittsburgh. The property was purchased from the URA, and is part of the site for the construction of a 41 unit apartment building that is substantially completed and occupied.

Former Use: The site is a former gas station, that has been vacant for at least 15 years. The City acquired it through a tax sale, and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh purchased it in 2004. The URA sold it to an affiliate of S & A Homes in late 2012, and construction is substantially completed on a 41 unit apartment building. The stained soil was removed as part of the excavation.
