Additional Property Attributes

The property consists of a 51,000 square foot building located on 42.0-acres of land

Former Use: The property consits of a 51,000-square foot building and 42.0-acres of land. Interior finishes of the building include insulation, exposed steel framing, concrete flooring 5,000-square feet, and exposed soil and gravel flooring 46,000-square feet. Blackford Industrial Development Corporation purchased the vacant property in 2000 and then built the current on-site building. Hartford-Bio-Energy bought it from Blackford Industrial Development Corporation in 2006 and used the portion of the building with concrete flooring as office space. Hartford-Bio-Energy dug a trench in the exposed soil flooring of the building in order to run electrical wiring. This trench caused water to get into the building resulting in mold in the office areas. In order to remove the mold from the building, everything in the office area was removed from the building, leaving only the concrete flooring. Hartford-Bio-Energy went bankrupt in 2009 and Blackford Industrial Development Corporation obtained ownership of the property again. The only former use of the Property was as an agricultural field.
