Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was originally developed in the 1890s as part of an industrial facility. Portions of the property were used to manufacture pumps and mining equipment, along with a manufactured gas plant, foundry and bottle washing facility. The manufactured gas plant operated until sometime between 1910 and 1937. The foundry operated from 1910 to 1924. From 1928 through 1983 the property was utilized by the George Meyer manufacturing company to manufaqcture bottling equipment. In 1985, Figgie International acquired the property from George Meyer and leased portions of the site to a drum reconditioning operation and a crane repair service until 1991. The past decade saw failed attempts to develop the area into a sports complex.
