Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property is a portion of the 20-acre property known as the Essex Wire site. The Essex Wire site was first developed in the 1870s for the Sheffield Velocipede Car Company. From 1960 to the mid-1980s, the Essex Wire Company operated its copper wire production on the site. Decatur Elevator then purchased the property in the 1980s for grain storage. Decatur Elevator abandoned the property in 1992. The City of Three Rivers acquired the property through tax reversion in 1995.
