Additional Property Attributes

The subject property was vacant and owned during assessment by Alfred and Patti Penny. The single-story building at the site is approximately 13,000 square feet in size. Additionally, the subject property contains a fenced asphalt-covered surface parking lot on the east portion of the site. Historical records indicate that the surrounding area has been developed since the late 1800's and has contained a mix of commercial, industrial, and residential properties. PCB containing electrical ballast and florescent light bulbs were properly removed and disposed of. Asbestos and lead based paint in building materials were not disturbed. The property was sold to the new owner following assessment and is operating as a Cross Fit Training Gym in downtown Springfield. Redevelopment was minimal with exterior paint, signage, and new fitness equipment.
