Additional Property Attributes

The Property is currently occupied by three contiguous vacant commercial buildings. The Property was first developed for commercial use prior to 1885. It is situated within a commercial area in downtown Middletown. Two Identified Areas (IAs) were identified during this Phase I PA: i) historic on-site dry cleaning operations, and ii) historic adjacent off-site printing operations. A dry cleaner was located on the northeast side of the Property from approximately 1926 to 1933. Two printers were located adjacent to the Property to the northwest (c. 1921-1931) and to the south-southeast (c. 1885). Asbestos materials and a variety of hazardous or EPA-regulated materials that must be removed from the site before renovation activities were identified.

Former Use: The Property is occupied by three contiguous vacant office buildings. The Property was initially developed for commercial use in 1885, and is situated in a commercial area of downtown Middletown. The property was used most recently as a corporate headquarters for Rogers Jewelers.
