Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was vacant undeveloped land until 1956 when an adjacent wood products facility expanded its operations and constructed facilities on the northern protions of the property. A planner mill equipped with a covered shipping an recieving area appeared to be developed on a portion of the property. A railroad spur also enetered the property. The eastern portions of the property appear to have been demolished. From the early 1970s to the present the property has remained vacant. The current owner of the property is the City of Elgin. Previous owners were identified as Boise Cascade Corporation, Valsetz Lumber Copamny, Hennepin Lumber Company, and Ponderosa Pine Company.
