Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property was originally developed in at least 1893 with several structures associated with the eastern adjoining Evart Hotel. These structures included a large livery stable between 1893 and 1920 on 112 West 7th Street; and a wagon shed (1893-1904), ice house (1893-1910), second icehouse and beer storage building (1904-1910), and livery and warehouse (1920). 112 West 7th Street Once the Evart Hotel was razed prior to 1920, the structures on the subject property were also razed. In 1920, the existing building was constructed as an automobile repair garage, which operated until approximately 1950 when it was converted into an auto sales and service business. The subject property operated as an automobile repair and auto parts store from at least 1950 until the 1970s when the automobile repair operations were abandoned. The subject property continued to operate as an auto parts store until the mid 2000s when it was vacated. It should also be noted that during sidewalk reconstruction efforts in front of the subject building, one 1,200-gallon UST and one 800-gallon UST were discovered and removed. AKT Peerless was unable to determine the source or function of these USTs relative to the subject property; however, it is likely that these USTs were associated with the former automobile sales and service during the 1950s. 120 West 7th Street Once the Evart Hotel was razed prior to 1920, the structures on the subject property were also razed. The subject property remained vacant land from that time until the existing building was constructed in 1970. The subject property was operated as a farmers market from construction through 2010 when it was vacated. Currently, both subject property parcels are vacant.
